We are looking for volunteers!​

Do you live abroad and would like to volunteer in our Kingdom in one of the most beautiful Greek islands?

We need your help in the sanctuary. We are primarily looking for someone with an education in animal health, such as veterinary students, retired vets, or animal nurses, but we will consider others with experience and knowledge about cats and kittens.

The main tasks will be to assist us with the daily care of the cats, to check on them and give them love and attention. You will also help us keeping the indoor and outdoor areas of The Kingdom clean. All in all it will take approximately 4 hours a day. The rest of the day will be at your disposal. Corfu town is only 20 minutes away by car, and the beautiful beach of Agios Giordos is within 3 km distance.

We have a small house for you in the Kingdom, fully equipped with a kitchenette and bathroom. It is suitable for a couple or two good friends. The minimum length of stay is two weeks, preferably longer, as both we and the cats need continuity. For the accommodation we ask for a 100 euro donation per week.

Since you will be living in The Kingdom among the cats,  we expect you to be  responsible and sober. As you know, the cats are sensitive beings and The Kingdom belongs to them. In return for your respect, they will shower you with love and affection.

If you live in Corfu it will be highly appreciated if you can help us with 

• the work in the sanctuary on a regular basis by spending some hours every week with the cats and give us a hand with the cleaning. ​

• TNR - We need more volunteers to help us get the strays into the traps, bring them to the vet for neutering and return them to the colony when they has recovered 

• Food for Life - we are buying and bringing food for the strays in the garbage bins in abandoned tourist villages in wintertime, but we need local volunteers to do the daily distribution of the food 

• being Foster home for cats with special needs. Some of our cats would benefit from a stay in a Foster home while they recover from surgery or illness, or for socializing.
